Steve specializes in corporate tax and is a qualified intermediary for 1031 exchanges. His prior experience includes more than 40 years with Schell & Hogan, LLP on St. Simons Island, 32 of those years as partner. He was licensed in Georgia as a CPA in 1985 after graduating from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. When it comes to his work, Steve prides himself on his analytical and organizational skills.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA) and the Federation of Exchange Accommodators.

Steve and his wife Lawanda (Lou) have four children and four grandchildren. In his free time, Steve enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and running. He has competed in a dozen half-marathons.

Hugh Adams has been an integral part of the Golden Isles community since 1997, bringing a distinguished mix of expertise, commitment, and enthusiasm to the accounting profession. With a solid educational background in Mathematics and Computer Technology from Valdosta State University, Hugh began his career as a mathematics teacher. After three enriching years in education, he transitioned to accounting, earning a second degree from Brenau University and uncovering his true professional calling.

By early 2005, Hugh had firmly established himself as a trusted advisor and expert in Glynn County. His dedication and proficiency led to his partnership in a local firm in 2012. Initially focused on government audits, Hugh has evolved his practice to specialize in corporate and individual tax services.

Outside of his professional life, Hugh is a devoted family man, happily married to Jennifer Adams and proud father to three children—Griffin, Grace, and Greta. He treasures his role as "Papi" to five grandchildren. An engaged member of his church, CenterPoint, and a participant in Rotary, Hugh is passionate about giving back to his community.

In addition to his community involvement, Hugh embraces an active lifestyle. He regularly participates in various athletic events including 5k races, triathlons, and CrossFit competitions. When he’s not working or volunteering, you’ll find Hugh enjoying the great outdoors—whether biking, basking on the beach, paddleboarding, or camping.
